Story Information (Reaper point of view)

Welcome to Earth. Population? Nearly 7 billion.. and fluctuation. Rising, because the Humans took the "Be prosperous and Belligerent" thing too far.. That, and We do our job very well. Who are we, you ask? We are the Harbingers of Death and Life. Especially Death. By reaping the souls of the mortals, we end their lives and allow new beings to come to life.

Our powers not only stem from our scythes, but our Spirit as well. We can manipulate Nature and the elements around us to benefit our goals. These Elements include:
Wind
Water
Fire
Earth
Metal
Lightning
Blood
Bone
Plant
Wood

They also have the ability to Shift between a "Reaper" form and a "Mortal" form, for when they are traveling the Middleworld.

Every Mortal has a "chord". This Chord is always a different color depending on their health and how close they are to death. There are 5 colors, and occasionally a sixth, though that is rare. The chord stems from their hearts and intertwines through the different planes of existence to connect with Life himself. By splitting the chords, which can only be cut with one of our Weapons, their life is ended. Our weapons can only cut through a chord that is orange or lower.

Indigo: This is the healthiest one can be. When a Chord is this color, they are in their prime. A mortal is immune to most diseases, and quite strong. They still have between 30 to 60 years of life left. Immune to Reapers.

Dark Blue: This is pretty healthy. When a Chord is this color, A mortal is immune to many diseases, and pretty strong. They still have between 20 and 50 years of life left. Immune to Reapers.

Green: The Average color. Most mortals are between this color, or the Dark Blue color. When a chord is this color, they are immune to a few diseases, but are still susceptible to most. A Mortal with this color has 10-40 years of life left. Immune to Reapers.

Orange: Someone's sick. Few mortals are this color. If you have this color, you aren't gonna live very long. Your immune system is pretty weak, and you are susceptible to most diseases. A mortal with this color has 5-20 years left.

Black: Not only sick, someone's dying. If you are this color, I am sorry. A reaper is probably on his/her way already. The most time you have is a maximum of two years. A reaper merely needs to drop their weapon on your chord to kill you.

Every decision a Mortal makes affects their chord color. Going to the store? Affects it. Milk or apple juice? Affects it. Going on a Date? Affects it.

Oh Yeah! The sixth color.

Gold: This color is reserved for immortals. Reapers can't touch you. They can't even come close. Life himself has to cut the chord with his Shears. Even then, you are merely reborn with no memories. These CANNOT be unlocked, don't even ask. Immortals don't really die. An Immortal may eventually gain strange powers from being Sired by a Reaper.

Reapers views on other beings: Depends. Reapers don't really have any mortal enemies, and generally get along with who they get along with.

Remember, not everything is sunshine and Daisies. There are other beings. Other beings whom hate us. Whom wish to crush us. Be careful, or they will come for you too.
