The Plot
~*~*~

After the Demons and Angels warred, the world was destroyed. The pure cataclysmic destruction forced all the continents back into Pangea, and the oceans into one Super Ocean. Now, the Underworld's seal is broken, and Demons are being freed more and more. They want Earth back. The reapers can't have that. If that happens, they lose all reason for existence, and will most likely be destroyed. The angels purely want peace, and will gain it any way possible. Now, dragons are running amok as Abraham plots with Cortex, Demon General of war. What do they have planned? A new war is starting up. Fenrir, Uriel, and Akuma-Oni are desperate, and want their side to win no matter what. Whose side will you choose?

"Kai... today is the day you become a man." Fenrir joked, shuffling his apprentice's hair with his bony, white hand. For some reason, Fenrir preferred to stay in his Reaper form. Perhaps because he hated his Mortal life, and his Mortal form was just a constant reminder of that torture. Lowering his hand back to his slide, the heavy, black fabric of his cloak slid back over his arm, hiding it from view. Peering out from behind his hood, his glowing, red eyes pierced into Kai's. It was nearly noon, and the sun was strong. Oh, how he hated the sun. It was so...sunly.

"Time to train a bit, bud.. Who knows, you may perfect a new technique, or something." He ordered his apprentice, as his Scythe grew up in black globs around him before fully forming. Twirling it in his hand slightly, he readied himself and crouched down into a low stance. "Hit me with your best shot."

A grimasse on his face, Kai half-heartedly tried to get his hairs back into their normal position. "As long as getting a man doesn't involve great physical pain, like getting chopped in half." His own sarcastic nature picked up on the joke of Fenrir, as he himself took a step backwards. He had no problem with the Reaper appearance of his master - one day he would look just as boney, anyways. And also, he wasn't even freaked out when he saw it for the first time as he was dieing, why start now...
As Kai raised his right hand, the red ruby on his pendant started glowing, and the whole thing seemingly started to loose it's form, it was hard to describe... a mixture of flowing water, ignoring all gravity and natural laws, and shadows, as it grew bigger and formed the small sickle weapon of the Immortal, lastly forming the two decorative wings. Getting into a fighting position himself, he thought about his last 'Best Shot' against his master, which pretty much resulted into a hurting Scythe Pole into the face. Clearly not something to do again. Focusing his eyes on the figure of the Reaper, he nearly scanned him for apparent weak points, but they where really hard to find on something without flesh and blood. Against a demon, this was much easier...
But still, the eyes of Kai fixated themselves onto the right shoulder of Fenrir, before the apprentice jumped foward. "Point Blank!" Seemingly disappearing, the Immortal landed behind the Reaper, turning around as he hit the ground again, sliding a bit over the ground, the strange piece of cloth infront of his legs flewing through the air a bit, making himself ready for the next moves. He had to think of something new, something that Fenrir would not expect...

Fenrir grinned as he saw his apprentice launch towards him. Oh, how he loved foolhardy children. Sinking into the ground, he shot up about 20 meters away north. Floating through the air, he dived towards his "opponent" twirling his scythe. "Wolf Flare!" He called out, as was tradition in training. Always give your opponent prior knowledge to what you are going to do. As a wind wolf ejected from the scythe, Fenrir stood close behind him. As the wolf hacked and slashed at Kai, Fenrir shook his head slowly.

"You're going to need to do better then that..."

"Oh crap." Fenrir was fast - way to fast, as proven once again, since he dodged Kais fastest strike without a scratch. And now it would take time to focus once again, time that he didn't have - a good thing that his master at least announced his attack, or else the Immortal would be in really deep trouble now.
But even with knowing what was going to happen, that didn't help much. A wind wolf going apeshit on you was not easy to dodge, and Kai nearly fell backwards multiple times, his Sickle would've been shot out of his hand if it weren't for the telecinetic link he had with that 'baby Reaper Scythe', simply by the force this wind wolf had.
"Easier said than done, master." somehow, he caughed these words out while sliding under a biting attack of the wolf, and with that, under the wolf itself, getting up behind it while it was also turning around. Oh man... But wait. The limit on this technique was... distance! He had to get away from Fenrir. But his master was way faster than him... no matter how Kai looked at this situation, it only got worse. And while thinking, his mind slipped for a second - now that wolf had bitten him in his arm and threw him up into the air, ripping the flesh of said right arm open. With a shriek, he let go of his weapon, which turned back into his key pendant. Oh, just great.

"I must have taught you better then that.." Fenrir grinned, before deciding to fuck with him some more. "Time to make it more difficult. Do or die, Kai." He announced, before his scythe blade started glowing red. Becoming enflamed in a few moments, he tapped the wolf with it. Instantly, it burst into flames. "I love my fire enhance..." He grinned, as the wolf howled with renewed vigor. Slashing more, his claws left flame imprints in the air for a few moments. It was now much more deadly.

"You can get out of this, I know you can." Fenrir cheered him on, staying close behind the wolf. The heat from the fire tickled his bones, and rummaged his cloak. It sent a dark red flare around him, highlighting his haunting form in a deep orange-ish red.

Thaught? Mainly, Kai learned how to get into trouble since he started being an apprentice to the ruler of all Grim Reapers, and how to dodge incoming demons. But that was another one of the things that should not be said out loud - though his Master could propably hear his thoughts anyway, thanks to telepathy. Landing on the ground, at least with his feat first, he held his bleeding right arm for a short moment. These sharp fangs hurt like hell, blood was now running down the arm and dripping onto the ground in big amounts. With a rather strange expression on his face, Kai summoned his weapon into the left hand, dodging the first blow of the now burning wolf. The situation only got worse, like always.
"Do or die, very funny. Oh well, I don't want to try out if my head can really reattach itself." falling back one step, he escaped the flaming claws, nearly dancing around Fenrirs summoning. Slowly, the Immortal was gattering his spirit for the next move, but a clear focus was not possible with that thing going apeshit right in front of him. Taking a step to the right quickly, he dodged a biting attack, and while doing so, raised his arm quickly to the side, effectively leaving a big fat cut over the whole side of the fire wolf, before jumping from standing higher than for a normal human possible, spinning over the wolf, now aiming straight at the flaming neck. Either he hit his target and defeated it with that, or he missed and got burned alive. Sounded like the normal situation.

Congratulations! The sickle went through the wolf. Unfortunately, the wolf was made of wind and fire. Quickly reforming, the beast slashed out a blast of wind as powerful as a wind cutter, enhanced by fire. The arc shot towards Fenrir's apprentice, though due to the angle, he couldn't see if it hit or not. "You need to study this thing quickly. This will teach you how to fight what you don't have the leisuretime to study or talk over tea." He announced, before floating high into the air. As he got into the correct position, he decided to fuck with his apprentice some more. "Oh.. and dodge this." He announced, before launching of a fire enhanced wind cutter. As it struck the wolfs second wind cutter, it formed a monster wind cutter, all fire enhanced, and all headed towards Kai. The only sounds that filled the air was the howling of the wind, the crackling of the fire, and Fenrir's cackling.

A plan from Kai worked for once, too stupid that the wolf reformed. This sickle was able to cut through demon flesh and bones like paper, but could not destroy one simple elemental... man, that thing was really just a bad excuse of a Reaper Scythe. The first wind cutter missed by a few millimeters, still scorching some of the hair of the Immortal, definiatly not a pleasant smell. But at least it didn't hurt as much as the deep wound on his arm. A normal human would faint from blood loss at this point, but for Kai, it simply made him a bit weaker.
Seeing the next wind cutters aiming at him, he finally had enough of all that crap. His master knew very well that he could not defeat that stupid, oversized winddog without finding any weak spot - and even if he did, how was he supposed to destroy it with his weapon? But his focus was complete. He would not end like a burned pizza today. "Elysium."
One word, and Kai was suddenly encased by wind, with a slight red collor from the blood of his wound that was now thrown around from the shield forming around his body. Seeing the wind cutters only miliseconds away, Kai didn't dodge, but instead, slashed away with his sickle.
In a rather big boom, the fire enhanced attack hit the apprentice, but the wind and fire where not nearly as powerful as originally planned - the wind shield could not be penetrated by wind alone, and the fire had problems passing through the small storm around his skin, only causing some minor burns on his skin and clothes. "Could you stop fucking with me already?" Kai was pissed off now. Training was one thing, an unfair opponent something different. But now that he thought about it... if his Elysium could destroy an incoming wind attack, what about an entity out of wind? Well, it could only hurt to find out, like always.
"That's only in the worst case, however..." was heard lowly mumbled, as the Immortal dashed foward, his sickle first. He would split the wind wolf in two, using the cutting shield around his body.

"Not bad, for once..." Fenrir complimented his apprentice, before the inevitable happened. "Unfortunately, That wolf's time is done." Just as Kai had reached the wolf, it growled and disappeared. "It'll take me a bit before I can use that again.. so.. How about we fight one on one? I'll let you keep your shield, as if that will make a difference." He grinned, as he slowly glided back down towards the ground. His cold, bony feet hitting the surface of the ground, he smiled, sort of. It was hard to express emotion with a skull face. The ground was warm, no doubt from his fire.

Twirling his scythe in the air above him, he grinned before disappearing. Not invisibility, but intangibility. He phased through the ground, but left his hands above the surface. They continued to spin his scythe, that was now at about ankle level. Then, at breakneck speeds, he blasted forwards towards Kai, like a helicopter of DOOOOOOOOOM!

This was almost as cruel as nearly getting laid and then someone interfering. He had been so close to finally destroy that blasted wolf, and now it just disappeared? His master was really just fucking with him and trying to make him mad, it seemed. But the next move was something the Immortal had not expected. Something that he could not attack tried to cut his friggin legs off. Just great, really.
"One on one you call that? I call that 'slaughter your student'. In the worst case, that is." Kai commented, as the Helicopter of DOOOOOOOOOOM was coming towards him at rapid speed. The only part touchable now was the blade - he knew that his master was untouchable for as long as he was underground. If he attacked the hands holding the Scynthe, he would propably only cut his own hands off doing so. Kai leaped over the swirling death the first time, but the problem was that it came back. Did his master want him to do... THAT? Kai never succeded in doing IT before, at least not for long enough... someone here really wanted that his apprentice got some fighting talent, it seemed.
"Oh well, if I don't get that right, I'll end up as chopped flesh stripes. I've had outlooks that where even more unpleasant..." With these words, the Immortal jumped straight up, still surrounded by his Elysium. The only problem was, it could only deflect already weak or redirected blows completely, the scythe would tear it appart. Concentrating, he knew that he had only one chance. Jumping high, easy. Acting against the laws of physics and gravity... not so much.
Still, upon reaching the highest point of the jump, Kai released his spirit out of his feet and body, and somehow stood on the air. "What the... I... did it?"

"Congratulations." Fenrir's grim voice echoed above the ground. "But now what?" He asked, as he launched himself out of the ground and began to spin his blade faster. Now, he was directly under his apprentice, and gaining speed. It was now like a razor blade coming up from under him was going batshit crazy. Suddenly, Kai's spirit pulsed under him, and turned hazy.

"Yes! I'm proud of you, my boy!" Fenrir announced, and as he came one centimeter to him, his scythe disappeared. It had turned back into his necklace. Flying up beside his apprentice, he clasped him on the shoulder.

"Your spirit is changing. It's.. growing. You can do something else now. Go on, try it!" He announced to his student, a large grin on his bony face, somehow plausible.

Alright, standing in the air was done. But how the hell do you move with no ground under your feet? Especially with a scythe swirling upwards at you like a friggin tornado? Slightly panicking, more blood slowly left his wound on the arm, also falling down into the whirling scythe. It was that moment, that his spirit started to flicker, or did it? It surely felt strange... like something he had always known, but never admitted, now surfaced. Kinda like you still remember something from your childhood with nearly no note why, it just happened. Closing his eyes for a second, the words of his Lord nearly didn't reach him - but it was good that they did. The Elysium around his body disappeared early.
Try something new? His arm twitched. No, not his arm. His blood. Fenrir had told him about this... at first, the powers of an Immortal where like the ones of the mentor, same element and such. In rare occassions, however, they could already form a foreshadowing of what would once come, too. As he opened his eyes again and fixated them onto his master, a grin appeared on his pale face. Suddenly, the blood flowing out of the wound changed. First, it stopped simply dripping down to the ground, instead, it stopped. Then, it flew out again... upwards, into the air, over his right hand which he now raised. Only a bit of his blood was now hovering over his head, as it seemed to grow while the wound closed up mostly. In a matter of a second, three spear had formed over his head, in the deep red of his immortal blood - and as he lowered his hand in a flash, send that spear flying.
"How do you like my Heaven Piercer?" He called out the name of his new technique.

"Not bad.. not bad at all.." Fenrir announced, watching as the blades flew towards him. "How about my Broken Gleipner?" He asked, holding out his right arm. Instantly, every bone separated. Every single bone starting from his shoulder separated. Even his fingers. They grew out, still proportionate, merely scaled out. Then, a harsh wind struck up in the area. Suddenly, blackness began to lace the wind. It wasn't darkness, or shadow, but merely black wind. It wrapped around his bones in the form of a massive arm. A massive canine arm. The arm stretched ten feet long and nearly a foot thick of 'bulging muscle'. Unfortunately, this took time. Time Fenrir didn't have.

The three spears penetrated his ribs, and cracked a few of them. One went through his eye socket. Fortunately at this point, his hood was down and it didn't rip any fabric. There was a large hole in the back of his skull, however. "Ready?" He asked, not feeling any pain and sweeping his now massive arm at his apprentice.

It worked. It actually worked! For the first time in all their practices, he actually managed to damage the bone structure of his master. And not only that... the new feeling of the power didn't disappear, it was still in his mind. He had succeeded in learning how to control his blood through will for the first time - Blood Cutter was more of an instinct, but this was the real deal. A huge step forward. But there was one very big problem now.
A giant arm out of wind and bones swooping down, to be exact. How was he supposed to DODGE that? Kai had just realized how to actually stand on air - flying fast was out of question. Letting his focus and spirit disappear, he started to fall downwards - but not nearly fast enough. The huge arm hit the Immortal, and the huge impact force threw him away like a ragdoll. Hitting the ground hard, bouncing of it like a rubber ball, he rolled over the hard floor for a long distance before lying still, coughing out blood. A magnitude of ribs where broken, in addition to his left arm. And his spine was cracked, too, since he felt a burning pain in his back.
"I... hate you." Kai Nostra said with another bloody cough.

"Hmm.. maybe that's enough for today.." Fenrir said. helping his apprentice up. Dropping his Broken Gleipner, it disappitated and his arm went back to normal. Returning to mortal form for once, he grinned at his student. "Man, you're starting to get it. Maybe next time I will show you rokkr, and teach you how to become intangible a bit faster, or something. Now go home, get some rest. I'll speak to you tomorrow." He ordered his apprentice, before calling out his dragon and flying off into the wild blue yonder.

Having quite some trouble standing, he glared at the back of his master. Man, that guy could be such an ignorant, commanding asshole... But he WAS the master, so what could he do against that? Nothing. And it was better to leave now than to actually wait for humans to show up and ask stupid questions. Leaving the ground, hovering slightly in the air, Kai left the training area, coughing up another pile of blood while he was at it. That blood loss made him seem even more pale, though that should not be possible. But it couldn't kill him, for now.
In his apartment, he would first try to eat something and not vomit it right back up due to injuries on his insides, and get some sleep. After that, he would propably still feel owned, but his body would've healed most of the wounds.
